Everything we sell ships flat-packed unless the product page says otherwise. Fixings and instructions are in the box.

Before it arrives — the base

This matters more than the shed. Every shed needs a flat, level, solid base, sized to the shed's footprint. Paving slabs, a concrete pad or a treated timber frame all work. Bare soil, gravel and uneven slabs do not — the frame twists and the doors stop lining up within a season.

Have the base down and cured before delivery day.

How long it takes

Timings vary by model and are listed on each product page where the manufacturer publishes them. As a rough guide, most sheds need two people and a free afternoon. Larger models and gazebos need three.

Tools you'll usually want

A cordless drill, a spirit level, a stepladder for anything over 6 ft, and a second person for the roof panels. Nothing exotic.

Timber sheds — before you paint

Treated timber usually needs a few weeks to dry before paint or stain will properly key to it. Painting too early is the usual reason a finish peels a season later. Check the manufacturer's guarantee terms first, as some require a specific re-treatment schedule.

If a part is missing or damaged

Email support@hydrocoreco.com with your order number and a photo. Don't start the build with a damaged panel hoping it'll be fine — it won't, and it makes the replacement harder to sort.
